Good News, the Spirits Aloud Circle has now launched it's own blog based running journal of events.
This will be a purely objective account of the seances (well, mostly objective anyway). You can now find this at Spirits Lodge Diary .
Chris will keep this up to date each week after each seance.
If you're interested in following our work and development, I'd encourage you to take a look.
I will still keep this blog running however, as this site will reflect my own experiences and will be open to 'subjective' as well as objective accounts from my own personal perspective.
Since I have started to work with Trance Mediumship over the past month or so, I have refrained from placing too much information here as I'd be writing only about myself. And believe me, the personal perspective of Trance work is very different from that witnessed by the sitters.
However, I have been keeping my own records (long hand) which now that Chris has published the 'official' journal accounts, I supposed I ought to balance the books a little by posting my own now. :-)
So please read on, and in the next few days I'll transcribe my own thoughts and views on what has been taking place during the trance sittings I've taken part in.

Tuesday 12th June
I'm away working this week in th US and will be missing this weeks' and next weeks sittings.
But the overall report was that there were many odd sounds from the cabinet and when the lights came back on Brian had again been moved (rotated) through 60 degrees, plus this time the chair was tilted back against the wall.
The Chief came through towards the end of the seance and passed along messages to the others in the room. Once I get the transcript I'll post some more details soon.

Tuesday 5th June
No report last week as the circle didn’t meet (for the first time since its inception!). So my apologies for the gap.
This week Brian (our physical medium) was away and so we sat for Trance rather than physical mediumship.
A number of different spirits spoke to us through the trance mediums and this time we recorded the whole hour and a half on a combination of video and audio tape.
This was also a new thing for me as we sat with the electric lights on in order for the video camera to be able to see us more clearly.
Hopefully we’ll get a chance to review the whole evenings’ recordings in the next few days and I’ll have a better view of what was said and what was given by Spirit.
I have to say I am still not completely convinced with ‘Trance Mediumship’ as yet. The whole thing seems to me to be closer to ‘inspirational speaking’ than handing over control of the physical body to a visiting spirit.
But I have been assured that as one of the mediums become more experienced and practised, then this may well change.
Initially I was also expecting a lot more in the way of ‘proof’ that the speaker really was from spirit rather than a figment of an over active imagination.
But then it does seem that Trance Mediums tend to only hand over control to their trusted guides. Which probably makes sense as I know that I for one wouldn’t particularly want “great aunt Edna” to take over my body just so that she could convince someone that she was still alive and kicking –if in spirit rather than body!
She might decide that she quite fancies another bash at life and can’t be bothered with going through the whole birth/death cycle thingy again!
-makes you wonder at the whole “possession” concept.
But then, why is it that the guides can’t relay some kind of evidence? Or maybe it’s just that trance mediums are generally in a home circle where the need for ‘evidence’ has long been passed?
Also, a higher level guide type spirit is likely to be more interested in spiritual teachings and personal guidance, rather than enabling the recently deceased to pop back in again to say Hi.
Lots of questions, not too many answers yet.
I’m not sure what we’ll do with the audio/dvd stuff yet. Our friends kept it up for nearly 1.75 hours. I’m not going to be volunteering to transcribe all that lot into text myself!
I suspect Chris will post the objective review up on the Spirits Aloud Journal (see sidebar link) within a few more days.
I’ll be missing the next 2 weeks séances as I’ll be travelling again with work but I’ll post second hand reports when I get them.
